This was an ideal grape growing season with a warm summer and a long lingering dry autumn. Modest crop levels and optimal ripening have given this wine good concentration. The abundant aromas and flavours suggest ultra-ripe quince, cantaloupe melon, lychee, rose petal, tropical spice and Turkish musk. It is rich, unctuous and mouth filling. The acidity is low, which is typical of the variety, but it has a muscular firmness and a lingering aftertaste of root ginger that beautifully balance its dry/off dry finish.
Wine is a natural health food.
